2. Data We Collect

Account data: Email address, name, and profile picture (via OAuth sign-in through Supabase).
Resume data: Content you enter into resume sections, stored in Supabase under your user account.
Server logs: Basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) generated by our host to keep the service secure and reliable. We do not use third-party analytics.
AI prompts: Text you send to our AI assistant. Prompts are processed by Anthropic's Claude API and are not stored by us beyond the duration of your session.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the AI resume building service.
To authenticate your account and save your resumes.
To keep the service secure and reliable and to improve the product.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase — database and authentication (offers a GDPR data-processing agreement).
Anthropic Claude API — AI text generation. Prompts may be used by Anthropic per their privacy policy.
Netlify — hosting and serverless functions.

5. Data Retention

Your resume data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@kindnesscommunityfoundation.com.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Access: Request a copy of your data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data.
Portability: Export your resume data in JSON or PDF format.
Opt-out: We do not run third-party analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session). We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, disabling essential cookies will prevent login.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. No sensitive financial data is collected or stored.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
